General Ledger
Learn about the the main accounting record of a company or organization.
Accounts Receivable
Learn about funds owed for products or services.
Accounts Payable
Learn about funds owed to a company's creditors.
Payroll
Learn about the purpose of payroll and how it works.

General Ledger

Students will learn how a business uses an account hierarchy to record financial transactions and generate financial reports using a general ledger (GL). They will also understand how each account comprises a unique record detailing a specific asset, liability, equity, revenue, or expense.

Accounts Receivable

Students will learn in this section of the course that Accounts  Receivable are for goods or services that have yet to be paid for by customers. They will also learn how Accounts Receivable’s are recorded on the balance sheet as a current asset.

Accounts Payable

In this section, students will learn about Accounts Payable (AP), or “payables,” and understand that they are short-term debts owed to a company’s creditors or suppliers, on a balance sheet. They will also learn the ins-and-outs of why an accounts payable liability appears on a company’s balance sheet as a current liability.

Payroll

In this section students will learn about payroll systems and how to pay employees for a specific time period. They will learn about payroll entitlements, taxes, vacation pay, and much more.
